I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
