This Festive Cocktail – The Method
WHere is a home-style interpretation of a beverage featured on our latest drinks list. This is a party-sized premix that is bursting with flavours of a festive period, making it perfect for your festive gathering. Reserve the remaining cordial for brunch beverages, desserts, or to make another batch of bikinis.
Bikini Recipe
Serves 10 servings
Ingredients for the Clementine Cordial (makes 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g fine sugar
Ingredients for the Cocktail (produces 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Directions
For the Cordial: Place the listed ingredients into a saucepan, bring to a gentle boil, agitating so the sugar melts. After that, take off the burner allowing it to cool down entirely. Pour to a sterilised bottle, cap it and refrigerate it chilled, it can be stored for around a month.
To make Cocktail Base: Pour the specified spirits and syrup into one sizeable container, allow it to infuse for 60 minutes, then filter it best through muslin, so it's completely strained.
When ready to serve: Pour 85ml of your batch mix into a cocktail shaker packed with ice, and stir lightly for a minute until cold. Pour into an frosted cocktail glass or equivalent, decorate with the cranberries and complete it by giving it a quick spritz with the mandarin essence over the top.
